Who are you really?

You may already know that I have just come back from a week long trip to Central Australia to spend time within an indigenous community. I love these experiences, not only for the connection to the people but also for the connection to the land and ultimately, the timelessness of the life we are all living.

This journey in particular had the effect of bringing me back in touch with my own timelessness and as a result, the essence of who I am at my deepest truth. That I truly am beyond time. That everything, including “me” comes and goes, arises and falls away, within this timelessness. And I am that… timelessness itself.

And the paradox is that while nothing actually matters because it is all impermanent, simultaneously EVERYTHING matters because here we are!!! So the question arises: how do we live untethered, from the fullness of what is in our hearts, giving everything, yet also knowing that it is all impermanent? Yet give anyway!!!

Tough to logically understand let alone act upon, right?

The below video is one that I took on the plane trip home about my reflections on this topic and how it relates to who we are at our core and how we can live day-to-day with less attachment to our everyday circumstances.

If it resonates with you, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

With love,
Shari
